There are two fantastic summer music series coming to Baltimore this June. Jazzy Summer Nights & Reggae Rise Up. Jazzy Summer Nights, in partnership with The Finn Group, returns to our great city this Thursday, June 8th. This concert series will feature live music, food trucks from local restaurants, and a Sagamore Spirit bar. Then, on Friday, June 23rd through Sunday, June 25th is Reggae Rise Up! A weekend full of reggae music sticking artists like Stick Figure, Pepper, Koffee, Rebelution, Iration, and so many more!
If music festivals are not on your to-do list, and even if they are and you want to switch it up, then check out the Run Up to Juneteenth 5k. Baltimore’s citywide Juneteenth commemorations kick off with the Run Up To Juneteenth, an uplifting event promoting the importance of health, wellness, and education. Connecting the communities of Baltimore Peninsula and Cherry Hill.
Start and finish will be at the fun-filled Race Village at Baltimore Peninsula, featuring music, entertainment, all-local food vendors/entrepreneurs, and hands-on activities for children – plus, an exclusive sneak peek of Baltimore’s Black Restaurant Week and AFRAM. Proceeds from the Run Up to Juneteenth benefit The SEED School of Maryland’s College Transition & Success Program.
